Additional Considerations
~ The Play Area should allow access for prams and be located in close proximity to public amenities, including baby change facilities. ~ Provision of age appropriate furnishing, artwork and play equipment (if provided) to be based on service and population. Furniture that is easily wiped clean is recommended. ~ Furniture suitable for adults is typically provided within the space to support supervision of children but may be provided in the adjacent waiting area if layout allows for adequate visibility. ~ The Play Area should be designed to minimise noise transfer to other areas. ~ Provision of interactive board/projector technologies and associated services may be considered depending on operational policies and ICT support.
