Description

The Patient Bay - Medical Day Treatment may be used for assessment and treatment of non-admitted patients receiving scheduled treatment in either a bed or recliner (e.g. for infusions such as antibiotics and chemotherapy).

Hours of Operation

8am to 6pm, daily

Occupancy

1 patient; 1 visitor; 1-2 staff intermittently

Additional Considerations

~ A staff handwashing basin will be provided for each 4 bays ~ The Patient Bay will have, wherever possible, clear line of sight to a staff station and close access to a patient toilet. ~ Access to natural light and views is required. ~ Medical Gases may be provided individually to each bay or shared between two bays depending on service requirements.
