The Parenting Room provides an enclosed, lockable room with the amenities required for parents to feed and change babies including a changing table, waste bin, sink, and arm chair. Access and clearance for prams is required.

Additional Considerations

~ The Parenting Room should be located to have ready access to other public amenities sanitary facilities and is often collocated with waiting areas. ~ Inclusion of a small fridge within the room may be considered if the room is located to serve a staff area; provision will be dependent on operational policies. ~ This Standard Component shows a wall mounted drop-down change table. Custom joinery for baby changing facilities may be considered and provision is to be determined at project level. ~ Mobile duress coverage is to be assessed and planned at a department level and coverage is to suit local security and WHS policies and operational service requirements.
